Lit. class 3321 M&W read aloud video

I enjoyed the read aloud with Ms. Myers I saw that the children were very engaged in the story.
When she started to read the book she talked about the author which is important to know. She had a well managed class which a teacher should be able to do so all of her students can learn and enjoy the read aloud. Ms. Myers also stopped through the story and asked questions and the children would answer and this allowed them to comet with the story as well. In every story you will be able to see problems and the children can find solutions and that is where their critical thinking begins. I enjoyed hearing the children make predictions to the story and that will keep the children engaged because it gets them excited and they feel as if they are part of the story.

  1. Hi Brenda, I agree with you that when the students are actively engaged they feel as if they are part of the story and are more likely to remember the story better. I also liked her classroom management. The students were well behaved.

  2. That was such a good performance. Now I can see the difference. The other video we watched on how not to read aloud is completely different. The children in this video were engaged and it was entertaining. They were busy in work and very well managed. :)
